Here is my growing family. My wife, Rebecca, and I have two wonderful and energetic boys and we are currently expecting twin boys! Although it will undoubtedly be crazy at our house, we love being parents and love our kids and consider ourselves blessed.
I was born and raised in Brea, CA in a lively and busy household. I am the oldest of six children. My dad taught me to work hard and was always a great example of that to me and my siblings. My mom liked to laugh and passed that love of laughter and humor down to us kids. My parents have always been really loving and supportive of us and I am grateful to them for that. Here is a shot from Christmas of my parents and their 6 kids, kids' spouses and grandchildren.
I graduated in April of 2004, from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor's of Science in Botany. Botany? I know, it does not sound like the most logical major for a prospective optometrist, but you'd be surprised. I especially enjoyed my Ethnobotany class where I researched the medicinal use of the "hau" plant in multiple Polynesian cultures. My major also provided me the opportunity to take most of the pre-requisite courses for SCCO while still really enjoying myself and doing something that was really interesting to me. I still love plant science to this day.
Rebecca and I were married in Los Angeles, CA on September 4, 2004. She grew up in Santa Clarita, CA in just as large and crazy a family as mine. I am so lucky to have such a great and supportive wife. She has been such a strength to me since the very first day we met. I owe a great deal of my success in life to her as she has always been my personal reminder, motivator and pep-talker. I am so grateful to her for everything she does for me and our boys.
We have two energetic little boys. Jonah (3) and Eli (2). These kids are so fun and so funny. I think they both take after their mother. Luckily they got her good looks, too. This summer two more boys (twins) will be added to the team.
